ANNUAL KTI SUPER BOWL POOL 2026

Make the Super Bowl more fun and support KTI! No skill required to win - it's pure luck and pure fun! Here's how it works: A 10 x 10 grid is created so that there are 100 squares Each square is sold for $36 (50% supports KTI and 50% goes to payouts) Once all squares are sold, numbers 0 to 9 (each used once) are randomly picked for each column ("AFC Team") and row ("NFC Team") on the grid These numbers are then checked against the game score for the end of each quarter. If the score is double digits, the second number is used. Winning numbers are then awarded prizes: $360 for each of the 4 quarters and an additional $360 for the final score (if there is no OT, then 4th quarter and final score are the same, and receive $720) What do you have to do to get into the game? Simply buy a square (of a few!) for yourself, a friend or KTI Once all squares are filled in, numbers will be randomly assigned and the grid will be emailed to all participants. Moses and Korah, David and Nathan, Hillel and Shammai, the Vilna Gaon and the Ba’al Shem Tov, Spinoza and the Amsterdam Rabbis . . . the list goes on. No wonder that Judaism cherishes the expression machloket l’shem shamayim, “an argument for the sake of heaven.” Beyond their historical importance, what makes these disputations so compelling is that nearly all of them, regardless of their epochs, are still being argued. The parade of characters spanning three millennia of biblical, rabbinic, and modern disputation reflects the panorama of Jewish history with its monumental political, ethical, and spiritual challenges. This series will examine Jewish responses to exile from the biblical period to our modern day. Wrestling with God Wednesdays, 8-9:30 PM Congregants’ homes TBA We need to talk about God. And about how we talk, and don’t talk, about God. It’s a big topic, maybe the biggest. This offering invites adult learners into compassionate inquiry, deepening their relationship to Jewish text through collective exploration. Using the album s*ngs ab-ut g?d [https://open.spotify.com/album/6JEY2AN6awAxNfWwmXX460] by Jewish educator Eliana Light as a starting point, this series blends music, Hebrew text study, and open-ended questions to help participants examine their own connections to the divine. This is sacred work. It’s not about getting it right. It’s about showing up with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to join the long lineage of Jews who wrestle with God. Each session stands alone, but we’d love to have a consistent group as much as possible. Sell Your Hametz 2026

Since ownership of hametz (bread and other leavened products) is not allowed during Pesah, ideally all hametz in one's possession would be given away or destroyed before the holiday begins. Since this often represents a financial hardship, the practice arose for people to store away their hametz before Pesah and arrange to sell it for the duration of the holiday. By filling out the form below, you are appointing Rabbi Goldberg to arrange the sale on your behalf. The hametz should be stored in such a way that we are sure not to use it during the holiday (by, for example, putting it in a sealed cabinet) and its actual ownership is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends. Donation: It is customary when selling hametz to make a donation to help Jews in need to celebrate Passover. This year we are supporting the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty. All hametz in my/our possession that will not be consumed by the latest time for eating hametz on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (approximately 10:15am in our area) will be stored and sealed by the latest time for burning hametz on Monday, April 22 (approximately 11:30am in our area) and will remain stored away for the duration of Pesah. This transaction will be in effect for the duration of Pesah, which this year begins with sundown of Wednesday, April 1 and runs through nightfall on Thursday, April 9, 2026 (approximately 8:15pm).
