Early Childhood Program (ECP)

Early Childhood Program (ECP)

At KTI Early Childhood Program we see each child as a unique and precious gift entrusted to our care. We offer a warm, creative, loving environment - a home away from home - where children spend their days learning, exploring, and growing. Licensed by the Office for Children and Family Services and accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), we create a self-rewarding, joyous, and non-competitive atmosphere where individuality is nurtured and where program activities help children learn more about Jewish heritage, values, and traditions through active learning.

We believe that. . .

  • Loving, trusting, and respecting each child fosters their love, trust, and respect for others
  • A safe and happy environment promotes a natural curiosity and desire to learn
  • Each child has an innate inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge
  • Each child can and should be guided to a positive self-image
  • Quality teachers and specialists are the keys to weaving age-appropriate academic goals
  • Children deserve to have teachers whose values enable them to be excellent role models
  • Home is the fulcrum of a child's development. We strive to support and complement the family in order to promote those bonds.

And most importantly. . . play is the work of children!

We share with children and their families the joys of Jewish culture. We believe that our children are a part of a web of interconnected relationships, and we encourage open dialogue between families and our entire KTI community.

Summer Program: Mini Fish

Dear KTI ECP Summer Program Parents,

We hope this email finds you all well.

A few of you have inquired about the ECP Summer Program. We are continuing to prepare for the summer and are moving ahead to run our program, but are regularly monitoring the situation.

Our two highest priorities remain keeping your children and our staff safe, and running the kind of high quality program you expect of us. We want to work with you to make good decisions for the summer and since currently there is so much uncertainty we are changing our deposit refund policy. In the event our Summer Program does not run due to the Coronavirus, we will refund your deposit to you. Our hope is that in the coming weeks we can all get a better handle on where things are headed and feel more comfortable about the summer.

We thank you for your understanding and support. Stay healthy and safe and continue to practice social distancing!

Designed for children who will be entering our 2's, 3's and 4's preschool classes in the fall. Little ones will enjoy our beautiful, fenced-in property complete with play equipment, picnic tables, and a shade tent. They will be able to climb, ride and frolic through a developmentally appropriate water park complete with their own “mini-car wash”. Happily, they will experience the friendship of their peers, as well as the care and nurturing of our teachers and counselors. In case of inclement weather, we have air-conditioned classrooms and a gross motor room all set up! Storytime, singing, nature, gardening, and crafts round out this lovely first camp experience. The added bonus is that the Mini-Fish camp is a great opportunity for your child to transition to the school year program.
