Sharing Light For Remembrance We light the Shoah Yellow CandleTM at sundown on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The Shoah Yellow CandleTM is a mechanism for families to gather for a moment to teach and to explain to our children and grandchildren the impact and the survival of that horrific moment in Jewish history. The Yellow Candle reminds us of the Yellow Star that Jews were forced to wear to identify them as Jews and open them to ridicule and persecution. On the night of Yom HaShoah the candles are lit in homes across the globe to shine a light of memory, a light of education, and a light that we will never forget. Just as we light a Yahrzeit Candle to burn for 24 hours to remember a dear one who is no longer with us on the anniversary of their death, so too, once a year, we light a Yellow Shoah candle to burn 24 hours to remember our Six Million brothers and sisters who died because they were Jewish. Please consider making a donation for a candle to be sent to your home. Sincerely, Rabbi Ben Goldberg -

Many Fronts, One Struggle Please join us to hear from Major Gadi Perl, a reserve officer in the IDF and representative of MERCAZ (political party representing the global Conservative/Masorti Movement). Gadi has seen up close many fronts in the struggle to keep Israel secure, democratic, and a welcoming home for every kind of Jew. In sharing with us his take on the interdependency of Israel and the Diaspora and the common fate we all share, Gadi will talk about how seemingly separate struggles are indeed part of one singular struggle for a Jewish future, and the important, urgent role American Jews need to play in helping shape that future. Sunday, April 27th 9:00am KTI Social Hall Bagel breakfast will be served Please RSVP.
