KTI Shabbat with Dror Israel

We are excited that the representatives from Dror Israel, Carmi Tint and Eyal Tarchitzky, will be returning to KTI as our special guests at KTI Shabbat services on Saturday, January 20th.

Carmi and Eyal, accompanied by Dror Israel's NY engagement director, Mirit Sulema, will speak from the bima and share their harrowing and inspiring story with us as well as the amazing work that they and their Dror educator colleagues are doing to help communities all over Israel in the aftermath of October 7th.

Please join us on Saturday, January 20th at 9:30am in the Sanctuary for Shabbat services and to listen to Carmi and Eyal. If you are unable to attend Shabbat services, you are welcome to come at approximately 11:30am only to hear Carmi and Eyal speak. There will be a special Kiddush following services during which you will have a chance to personally meet and speak with Carmi and Eyal.

Looking forward to seeing you!

About Carmi and Eyal

Carmi and Eyal are members of Dror Israel, a grassroots educational organization, and live as a part of Dror's educators' community in Sderot, just two miles from the Gaza Strip. On October 7th, Carmi was alone with their then seven month old daughter in the safe room for close to 48 hours while terrorists roamed the streets outside their home. For the last three months, Carmi, Eyal and their daughter are living as evacuees in a hotel near the Dead Sea where they are also responsible for Dror's emergency relief programming.

About Dror

Dror Israel provides therapeutic emotional-educational support, established makeshift schools for tens of thousands of evacuee children and families and created hotel leadership committees of evacuees. Dror's emergency relief focuses on building community resilience as the evacuees are empowered to take on responsibility during this chaotic time.
